Bulk Pricing for College Class?

Hi! I’m a journalism professor and for the past ten years students in my Digital Journalism class have been using WordPress to publish their own unique news sites that they update throughout the semester. I’ve only ever had them use the free WordPress options, but I feel like we’ve outgrown what the free option has to offer. For instance, I want to start teaching my students how to use myriad cool plugins to add depth and aesthetic appeal to their sites. I was wondering if there are any education discounts or bulk pricing options that would lessen the financial burden on my students. If anyone has advice on this I’m all ears. Thanks!

This thread has been tagged for staff response but note that here at WordPress.com a Business plan would be required to use your own plugins. Even if theoretically there were discounts to be had I suspect the costs would still be considerable.

At the moment, we don’t have any education or bulk discounts, but we do run promotions from time to time, so keep an eye out for any emails from us.
