bunch of little questions

Hello all!
Okay, here we go, I’ve several questions, don’t feel bad if you can only answer one or two.
1: on one day I had more “post views” than page views. How does that happen? (I had 17 specific post views, but only 16 page views for the whole day.
2: Yesterday I had 40 page views (new record, yay!) but only 32 combined referrers/searches. Should I count the referrers as unique hits?
3: I have gotten hits from “searches” that I can’t find myself under. What/who exactly is “search”? Google? WordPress?
4: do I need to do anything to tell google I have a new post?
5: So far my referred hits this week to page views is 106 to 120. Which means of the 106 people who visited my site only 14 browsed around. Is that normal? Bad? It sems bad to me.
6: How many tags should I use? Does it matter? So far I’ve been getting 1-3 hits per post through WP tags, and up to 15+ per day on some posts from google. Besides free advertising on WP tags, what’s the benefit of tags?Thanks in advance for any help.
