Bushwick color editing problems
-
Hello,
I’m starting this topic because I’m still having problems using the Bushwick theme and editing it. Specifically, I’m having trouble changing the colors of my header text when I’m looking at a post. I was helped by someone that linked me to
https://truerealsuper.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-headerto change that on my index page. But, I don’t have access to change the header from the Colors tab on the Customizer. I’m not sure if this is intended or just because of the specific Theme that I’m using, but the first color circle is black and has an X over it like it’s unusable. Is this where you can normally change the header option?
I was also told that if I wanted to see the header text option appear in the Customizer (under colors), that I should return the colors to default and it would appear. I’ve tried that more than a few times now and it hasn’t yielded that option.
So, I’m essentially looking for a way to be able to manipulate my header text colors in general so that I can make sure it works on every post that I have. I have to make sure it appears out of the mostly-white background I have currently. If the easiest thing is for me to just start learning CSS then I can do that, but I figured I’d ask because all of this is completely new to me. I bought the custom colors option specifically because I wanted to make sure everything fit together well. I’m hoping to get a lot more use out of it!
Thank you!

You ought to be able to go directly to > Dashboard > Appearance > Header
scroll down to
Header Text
__ Show header text with your image.
Use the color selector there and then click “save changes” -
Going to the Dashboard and then clicking on Appearance just takes me to the “Manage Themes” page.
If I hover over Appearance, only the following options come off of it (or when I’ve selected it they appear beneath): Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menus, Custom Design, Mobile

thank you for that link, timethief. It’s actually the same one that I was given above, however. If I can just repeatedly use that interface for editing single posts as well, I’m totally fine with that.
In that case, what would the URL be for changing the header of this specific post’s page?
as you can see, the title of the post ends up on the side and is just the default white color without any option for me to change within the customizer.
I really appreciate it!

just as a clarification for anyone reading, I’m interested in making it so that I can edit the color of the title on this post:
there’s no option to change it through the normal customizer for some reason so I was interested in using a URL similar to the one provided above, but I’m not really sure how I would change it so that I can change that specific post (and of course future posts).
thank you all.
