Bushwick header text color won`t change
-
Bug report. I am using Bushwick on my new timeless topics blog and have set the header text color to #a8469c.
It does display correctly here http://timelesstopics.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header&step=1&_wpnonce-custom-header-upload=06eab01335&file=107
However, it`s white font on the front page of the blog.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also please check out the appearance of the title here on the left hand side. It`s a short 4 word title and that breakage within a word is not acceptable. http://timelesstopics.wordpress.com/2013/12/22/applause-time-after-time/ Please fix both issues on this theme.

Thanks for the report! Both issues have been reported to our theme developers. I’ll contact you once it’s fixed.

@kardotim
Thank you so much for contacting Themes Staff. As the blog is participating in the Zero to Hero Challenge I am eager to see these two issues addressed.re: 2
This is what I see:
Applause
Time
After Ti
me
on this page http://timelesstopics.wordpress.com/2013/12/22/applause-time-after-time/It seems to me that the font size on the post titles throughout the theme is the issue. It’s too large and If reduced the second issue would be resolved.
My most recent post title displays like this:
Seize the Mo-
ment Surrender
the Outcome

I’m also having issues after having purchased this theme. My blog is here http://toscon14.wordpress.com
Issues I’ve found when trying to customize:
* when any colours are changed, the menu text disappears unless you hover over it
* the post title font is always bold despite selecting other options
* there is no obvious option to change the colour of the post title
* selecting any font option for body text makes no changes -
Hello, I use these theme too and I want my blog to looks like a real website. How did you manage to delete the title, the name of the author and the date on the left ? On http://toscon14.wordpress.com, there’s always the same image on the left side, with no other thing, whether it’s the homepage or an article. Thanks for the help !

I changed the header image to one I made, then unchecked the “show title” option from that same page.
-
Thanks for responding so quickly ! I guess you bought the CSS extension to add those code and remove date and author ?
.author { visibility: hidden; }
.entry-date { display: none; }
.entry-meta { display: none; }
.entry-header .entry-title {
position:absolute;
top:-9999px;
left:-9999px
} -
No, I didn’t do anything like that. I don’t know anything about CSS codes. Everything aside from fonts, colours and header image are exactly the way I found it when I installed this theme.
-
* when any colours are changed, the menu text disappears unless you hover over it
* selecting any font option for body text makes no changes
These issues might be browser related. Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome?
* the post title font is always bold despite selecting other options
* there is no obvious option to change the colour of the post titleFor certain elements it’s better to use CSS. To learn more about how CSS editing works at WordPress.com, see this help page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
Most of our CSS support is done in our community forums by both staff and volunteers: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
When you create a CSS-related help request, please make sure to select or link to the WordPress.com blog you’re working on and include a clear description of the change you’re trying to make. It helps a lot.

@kardotim
Thanks for your response. Yes, it happens in all browsers. And regarding CSS, when you pay $30 for the full version of the theme, which includes options for controlling colours and fonts, you expect that the options would work and that learning CSS editing isn’t necessary.
I emailed the author directly based on his website and have had no response. It would be swell if they would give some support themselves or at least acknowledge that these problems exist.

A quick update: We’ve fixed the color of the custom header issue, so that it now uses the color that the user has set. Furthermore we addressed an issue where custom fonts weren’t correctly applied.
Cheers!

This was my support forum thread but it was hijacked and became a CSS thread. I’m so glad my original requests did not slip through the cracks. Thank you so much! :)

Thank you for fixing the issues. I will check tonight.
Sincerely,
The hijacker who didn’t want anything to do with CSS.
