Bushwick Theme – Link back to front page?

    I’m using the bushwick theme here: http://keirsimmons.wordpress.com/.

    However, if I click into any blog post (Hakone for example), there’s no link back to the main page that I can see apart from pressing back in the browser. Am I missing something here?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello, either we’re both missing something or adding the Home link to that theme isn’t all that intuitive. Here’s what worked for me:

    1. From your admin panel, go to Appearance > Menus.
    2. Click “create new menu”.
    3. Give your menu a name and click Create Menu.
    4. Click Links.
    5. Enter this in the URL box: http://keirsimmons.wordpress.com
    6. Enter this in the Link Text box: Home
    7. Click Add to Menu.
    8. Click Save Menu.
    9. Under Appearance, click Customize.
    10. Click Navigation.
    11. In the dropdown, select the menu name you created earlier.
    12. Click Save and Publish.

    By default, the list of pages at Appearance > Menu will display an abbreviated (most recent) listing. If you click on the View All at the top of the pages module, the first entry on that full list should be Home. If you add that to your menu, WordPress will create a Home Menu item for you.

    The other way of course is the way that @micawbr outlines where you create your own using a Custom Link.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Unfortunately I’d tried the first suggestion, and the second I just tried now – both result in the same problem. The “home” link (and any other custom links) for some reason load into the right place on the theme and subsequently move to the left over the sidebar featured image (need to see it on a relatively large screen).

    I have no idea why it does this, as normal pages load into the correct place and remain there. Looks like I’ll need to go theme hunting again!

    I was unable to duplicate the effect you describe. There was no migration of menu links when I simulated different sized screen by zooming in and out, and no links ever approached the sidebar feature image.

    @keirsimmons, can you take a screenshot of what you are seeing, upload it to your media library and then post a link to it here in the forums for us to look at? I too have not been able to reproduce this.
