Business Account Purchase went wrong

Hello everybody,
I’m new at WordPress and need your help.
I wanted to buy a business account including a domain. Unfortunately something went wrong – I proceeded as follows:1. Business account added to the online shopping cart incl. my preffered domain -> http://www.meraki.live
2. New account created at WordPress including my contact details
3. Try to buy the business account subscription of € 299 via PayPal
4. It came to an error after clicking on the button “buy now”, the purchase was aborted, my business account subscription was not subscribed, but the preffered domain has been occupied or sold. However. Now there exists a Websitte with the domain http://www.meraki.live with no posts, comments or something else.
5. Now I got an other free domain http://www.meraki699.wordpress.com (I don’t know why – I have never picked this domain)
Now my questions:
Is there a technical error? It can not be that the preffered domain was occupied, but the purchase was not completed? How do I see if the preffered domain (http://www.meraki.live) has been occupied or bought me? (It was sold in the same second when I clicked the button “buy now” and I can’t find the domain in my account). I need to know if another person has taken my prefered domain or if there is a technical error. I think there was a technical problem, because I think that it’s nearly impossible, to buy this domain just in the same second, when I clicked “buy now”.If someone can help me, I would be very grateful. HI there,
The domain, meraki.live, was purchased on the 19th for a new site in a new account, merakiblog1. So it looks like you signed up for a new username account at the same time that you created the new site.
Log out of the ramonavollmer account you’re using to post here, and log in as the username, merakiblog1, and you’ll be able to access that site. If you can’t remember what password you set for the new account, you can reset it here after you log out of this account:

thanks for your post and your quick response!
I tried to log in as the user merakiblog1, but it didn’t work and I also can’t remind, that I created a new site / account. Maybe that’s not my account. But it’s true, that I tried to buy the business account on 19th and I have added the business account and the domain to my shopping basket. But I didn’t try to pay until Tuesday (because my paypal account to pay wasn’t unlocked until then). So can you see, if merakiblog1 was created my me? Maybe someone else bought the domain on 19th. :-(It is strange that although the site http://www.meraki.live exists, there is nothing written yet.

It looks like that account was created from a different IP address than your account, so it’s possible someone else created that account.
Did your payment for Business go through? Did you receive a receipt from us when you bought the Business Plan? On that receipt you’ll see a transaction ID that you can use on our account recovery form to gain access to the correct account. You can also get that ID directly from PayPal if you didn’t receive the receipt.
We’ll need to follow these steps, as I obviously cannot just give you access to what might be someone else’s account.

no, my payment didn’t go through. But I checked the domain before I wanted to buy for Business – and the domain was free. And at the moment when I wanted to pay and it did not work because of the error, the domain was no longer free. This all happened within 1 or 2 minutes.
Is it possible for you to contact the creator of that account – just to see if the account is actually used by someone. Or can it be determined in a different way, whether this account and this domain belongs to someone?
Should I still request the restoration via the link https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery? Even if I do not know if the account belongs to someone else?

If the payment did not go through, then this is a case of someone registering the same domain you want, at almost the same time. It’s uncommon, but it can happen.
I cannot contact the site’s owner on your behalf or give you their contact information, but they do have a contact form on the site, here:
I suggest you try reaching out to them via that form to ask if you can buy the domain from them.
