    I want to build my 1st business directory, can I do this on wordpress? If so, how do I go about it?

    Hi there,

    What do you mean by a business directory? If you mean a site where businesses pay you to display their information on your site where visitors can search for a specific business, that is neither possible, nor allowed on WordPress.com.

    For something like that you’ll need to get your own hosting and build a site using the free WordPress.org software. Then you’ll be able to install plugins to add the functionality you need for that type of site. You can find out more about self-hosted WordPress here:
