Business or Ecommerce plan

Hello,
I am looking to sell a service online and have 4 different services. Each service will give paid user access to information for the respective subscription. Will need to collect payment as well.I am confused between Business plan (since it supports selling subscriptions and collecting payments) and Ecommerce plan.
Can someone please help?

Hi there,
You can use either plan for this. Based on your description, I think the Business Plan will be sufficient.
The only difference between these two plans is that the eCommerce plan comes with the WooCommerce plugin, the Storefront theme, and a number of free and paid add-ons for those two products pre-installed. Otherwise the two plans are the same.
So unless you specifically want the add-ons that are already included in eCommerce, you don’t need the more expensive plan. From your description you’ll need a subscriptions (for recurring payments) and a membership plugin (to restrict access to site content based on membership level/type), and no such plugins are included in eCommerce.

We recommend WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Memberships – WooCommerce belongs to the same company as WordPress.com, so we can guarantee compatibility for both those plugins with our Business Plan, and support for those plugins are also included in the plan:

There are other plugins you can use for this as well, but we’re not able to recommend anything we don’t make ourselves. For other recommendations you can ask the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead – the people in that forum are the people who make the WordPress software, and plugins for that software, so should know of more options you can look at.
Keep in mind that if you go with another plugin, while it should work fine on the Business Plan we can’t guarantee it – there are tens of thousands of WordPress plugins out there, and we simply cannot test all of them for compatibility with our setup. We also don’t provide support for third-party plugins.

Just one final clarification – are these included in eCommerce plan since would work cheaper in that case. Can you provide link for which plugins come in the eCommerce so can check at our end too.

No, WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Memberships are not included in the eCommerce plan, you would need to purchase those apart.
