business plan?
-
Hi,
I have a few questions about the business plans.
I’m wondering how it works on wordpress.com, I’m considering moving my website over since I’m suffering outages and performance issues, and can’t get the support to get it solved.– is the service scalable? or does it serve all loads? what is the price for increased scalability?
– how do cron jobs work on wordpress.com? are they supported?
– can I access files via file manager
– do I have ftp access to server files?
– is there a php myadmin to access the db?
– what is the memory + cpu provided within a business plan?
– can I use own theme and plugins?
– are there any restriction on plugins, import export data?
– do you offer migration services, and at what cost?
– can I host multiple sites on my business plan? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

– is the service scalable? or does it serve all loads? what is the price for increased scalability? – There is just a monthly fee, regardless of your site’s traffic.
– how do cron jobs work on wordpress.com? are they supported? – No details available. I don’t believe you have control over cron jobs or access to set them up.
– can I access files via file manager – No
– do I have ftp access to server files? – No
– is there a php myadmin to access the db? – No
– what is the memory + cpu provided within a business plan? – No details available.
– can I use own theme and plugins? – No. If you sign up for the “Business” plan you have access to all the premium themes provided by WordPress.com. You cannot upload themes or plugins.
– are there any restriction on plugins, import export data? You cannot upload plugins. You should be able to import/export your content.
– do you offer migration services, and at what cost? – It looks like they offer migration services for *leaving* WordPress.com but I don’t see any info about migrating *into* it.
– can I host multiple sites on my business plan? – I believe the monthly fee is for a single site.If you need to keep your current theme/plugins, then your best bet may be to move to one of WordPress.com’s recommended hosts or WordPress.org’s recommended hosts.
