  If I purchase the business plan for my website, do I immediately have to pick a domain or can I wait to use the option of a free domain with the business plan once I’ve finished designing my site?

  Hi there,

  No, you don’t have to immediately pick a domain when you purchase the WordPress.com Business plan.

  Once you’re done with designing your new site you can use free domain credit by following the steps here – https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/#instructions-for-registering-a-new-domain

  One quick caveat: if you are going to install themes and plugins, you actually do need a custom domain, though you’re welcome to use a staging subdomain.
