  I want to add a plug-in to my site, which requires a business level plan. But I want to build the site before switching it over to a domain that I already own, and is published with another host at the current time. What can I do?

  Hi,

  You can upgrade to the desired plan but work on your site using the free .wordpress.com subdomain and only map or transfer your custom domain once you’re ready.
