Business Theme Colors and Typography

Need to make changes with regard to hosting, and taking a strong look at moving my company website from GoDaddy to WordPress.com. Definitely want a clean, simple Gutenberg block theme, and the new Business theme is almost perfect.

    But…

Why is the body copy text gray? That seems to fly in the face of readability, especially on mobile during daylight hours. Does that theme support a change to black?

Also, how can I change the highlight color on headlines and Continue Reading to something other than purple?

Finally, is it possible to flip the category/tag default to gray, changing to black when selected? As shown in the demo, when selecting a category or tag it changes from black to gray, almost as though the user has turned the function off rather than on. Same for Author name.

This theme appears to contradict simple UX readability standards. Would love to move to WordPress.com and use this theme, but if these things cannot be changed, that won’t be possible.

All the changes you want can be done easily with custom CSS (available with premium plans or above).

Additionally, the text color change can be done within the post editor where you are given the option to change the text color for any given block. This is true even with the free plan.

I would say you can confidently move forward with WordPress.com and get exactly what you are looking for. They have great support too if you need help with the CSS modifications.
