Business Upgrade

I have several sites – both .wordpress.com and both upgraded domains I paid for like springfieldmassrealestate.com, movetospringfieldmass.com, and movetoholyoke.com. If i upgrade to business for springfieldmassrealestate.com, will I be able to use themes on my other sites as well or just the one I upgrade?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,
The features you get with the Business plan, such as access to every premium theme , only apply to one site.

To use a premium theme on one of your other sites, you’d need to buy the theme from WordPress.com, or upgrade the site to the Business plan as well.

Can someone go over the differences between the two? I’ve read a lot and can’t seem to figure it out. Is it mainly ecommerce and extra free themes?

Have you seen this chart which lists the main features of the each WordPress.com plan: https://store.wordpress.com/plans/

As you noted the Business plan includes eCommerce and access to every WordPress.com theme (both free and Premium). There’s also live chat support, unlimited videos, unlimited space, and Google Analytics. The Premium plan does not have those features.

Is there a listing somewhere of the costs of the ecommerce? Like credit fees, or would I still be using a third party?

Is there any editing for mobile sites or is it just that the premium themes are optimized?

Thanks for your quick response and help, it’s greatly appreciated. I have two main sites so I’m trying to determine if one I could use premium and one business versus spending $300 on both. I like the analytics but don’t need ecommerce on both.

For eCommerce you would be using a third party (Ecwid, Shopify or Gumroad). Here’s more information about each of those options: https://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/

Many free and paid themes are already mobile friendly: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/

You can alter the look of any theme by using custom CSS, an upgrade that’s included with either of the paid plans (Premium or Business): https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-css/

Note that a Premium theme is different than the Premium plan. The theme affects the way your site looks, while the plan is all about storage, a custom domain, support, etc. If you choose the Premium plan and want a Premium theme to go with it, you’d have to buy them separately. If you choose the Business plan, every Premium theme is already included.
