Business Web Page design — can it be done with our current account

I am the Membership/Electronics chairman of a large non-profit male chorus — http://www.ksmenschorus.org. We currently have what appears to be a blogger web with WordPress. We need to migrate to more of a business web with our own graphics layout customized to how we operate. We need a landing page with very little verbiage and only one to three links on that page, depending on what season we might be involved in at the moment.
At our dashboard, I’m not seeing an opportunity to make such a landing page. Am I missing something.This is Friday, and on Saturday AM, I need to be in a stronger position for recommending directions for our future on the net. I don’t need anything comprehensive at the moment; just information on how I can help move things forward.
Just to let you my background, in the past I’ve created webs from the header to the end of the page using only a text editor with occasional reference to a WISIWIG builder. Currently, I can use CorelDraw X6 to create the “drawing” I want to see and then publish it in html directly from the app. I’m amazed at how efficient the pages actually are. I am able to manipulate the graphics where I want them placed with the appearance I want and not have to struggle with the html codes. It’s a far cry from Microsoft’s old FrontPage.
