I am trying to create a business online store not a blog. How can I do that on my account since it only offers sites for blogs and that not what I want

Despite not seeing your site, I think I can assist you with this.
Many themes default to the blog as the main home page. You change this to a static homepage (and have your blog as a navigation bar item instead).
Simply click on My Site in the top left corner and, under Personalize, find Themes and click on the Customize button. This will load the customizer.
One the left side of the page, you should see many option. But the second from the bottom should read Static Front Page. You should then see two options: Your Latest posts (which would be your blog) and A Static page (which would be your homepage). Click on the Static page.

The difference between a blog and a website just comes down to how you set it up. To have a website instead of a blog, you just use pages instead of posts. Here are some tutorials that show how to set up your site as a static website instead of a blog:

The tutorial you linked to was made in 2009 and WordPress.com has changed significantly since then. Most tutorials you’ll see on WordPress.tv or Youtube also apply to self-hosted WordPress sites, not WordPress.com.
