  Where is the header image as shown in the demo?

  But shouldn’t the header that is shown in the demo with the theme be included? I applied the theme but the header is not there.

  The demo doesn’t show a header image. It shows logos. The header image is a sunflower shown just in the setup instructions to give you an idea of the positioning. The image of mittens in the demo is a featured image for a post. Themes don’t necessarily load everything that appears in the demo, and especially if you started off originally with a different theme when images from that theme may well carry over.
