Button for Website
-
I am looking for the HTML code to add a ‘wordpress’ button to the homepage of our business website.

Do you want a WordPress button to link you to the WordPress homepage?
First you need to host your button image somewhere online. This can be an jpg or one you have created. If you have access to the WordPress Media Library you can host it there:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/
Otherwise, you can use a site like Photobucket to store it.
Once uploaded to either of those locations, you need to copy the URL that links to the image to enter in the code belowYou will enter the following code into the HTML editor:
<div align=”center”><a href=”<strong>YOUR URL HERE</strong>” target=”_blank”><img border=”0″ src=”<strong>URL OF BUTTON IMAGE</strong>” alt=”<strong>HOVER TEXT</strong>“/></a></div>-Replace YOUR URL HERE with the URL of the site you want the button to redirect you to
-Replace URL OF BUTTON IMAGE with the URL to the location where you have hosted your button image online (WordPress Media Library or free photo hosting site as mentioned above)
-Replace HOVER TEXT with the text you would like to appear when you hover over the button image (not supported in all browsers) -
NOTE: The code above should not contain any of the < strong > or < “/strong > references.. Those references should be removed along with the CAPS portion in the code
