Button in affinity

Hi, I’m using the affinity template and I added a button with the class=’button’, but the text inside is only visible when you hover over the button. Is there a other class code tho use? Thanks, Filip

Hi Filip,
The site https://filiplangenbick.wordpress.com/ has the Pique theme activated. Is that the site and the theme that you are referring to? Does the text not change color against a white background?

Sorry, now I understand. The call-to-action button codes that you’ll find on some themes will not work on themes that are not designed to display such buttons.

I’ll get this right yet. Evidently I was so sure that a button code wouldn’t display a button for you on Affinity, that I disregarded/misread what you’d said over and over again. What code did you use, and where did you find it?
In a test I found that the codes
<a href="link URL" class="button">Learn more</a> and <a href="link URL" class="minimal button">Try it out</a>from the Pique theme guide work when inserted into a page on a site with the Affinity theme activated. However, the buttons display differently than they do on Pique. On Affinity, they’re rectangular and have gray backgrounds with white frameline, but they work, and display the button text normally.

I see four buttons in the content of the first panel on https://filipendulousstories.wordpress.com. They appear gray and rectangular as I described above, and the text is visible in them. You still don’t see the button text? I find the four buttons in the content of the first panel to have the following text, respectively:
- Dwalende Verhalen
- Learn dwalende verhalen more
- Try it out
- Dwalende verhalen
The top two link to the page https://filipendulousstories.wordpress.com/blog/, while the others are linked to non-existent URLs.

There might be some local issue regarding the browser or app and device combination you are using to view the site. I’ve called for staff attention to this topic.

here it becomes strange.The first link was my original one: as you notice no text visible (only on hoover)
The second one is one of your exemples where I pasted my in link into: no text (only on hoover)
The third one is one of your exemples unedited: and it works ??
The fifth on is even more strange: one of your exemples where i changes the text of the link: it works, but one i paste my link into it, it won’t work any more (the sixth one)thanks Filip

I see only one button on that site, in the section titled Dwalende Verhalen:

As you can see from that screen shot, the button is visible. Is that the one not showing to you?
I don’t see the buttons in the first panel @musicdoc1 refers to, and I also don’t see the button code in the editor for any of the other pages on your site.
