Button theme – footer issues
-
How do I edit my footer? As far as I can see, the only thing I can do with it is choose how the WordPress logo is displayed. I need a place to put my contact info, copyright, and privacy policy. Thank you!

Hi Jennifer,
You’re right that you’re able to change the credit to WordPress.com via the Site Identity
panel in the WordPress.com Customizer. It would also be possible to add some text alongside the credit using some custom CSS.
Custom CSS is one of the Custom Design options that come with the WordPress.com Premium and Business plans.
(Please note: It’s only possible to add plain text via CSS, you can’t use it to add links.)
Beyond that, your theme does not support widgets in its footer area.
If it’s important for you to add more information and links to your site’s footer, you may wish to consider browsing through our repository for a theme that does support widgets in the footer area.
Kelly, Gazette, and Sela are some nice examples of themes that support widgets in the footer area and you can browse for more here:
Hope that information’s helpful! We’re right here if extra questions come up, too.
