Button theme- sidebar not showing on side, staying tumbledown blog

  I have the Button theme and my sidebar continues to be at the bottom of the page in a tumbledown blog format. The demo says if you add a widget the sidebar will show up on thee right hand side instead of the bottom, so I added a couple widgets from the list, and no luck. Help! This is super frustrating!
