Button to show (or not show) comments?

Theme: Twenty Twelve with CSS
1. Is there a way to implant a button which when pressed would show the comments? There’s so much white space between the comments, the replay – it’s hard to read; I’d like it to just be revealed by button. For example: proustmatters.com>menu>Photo Stories>Looking Down in Manhattan.
2. Can I get rid of the extra blank line between the commentor’s name and the comment itself.

CSS is for styling and placement of page elements and cannot be used to add functionality like you describe. To be able to expand and collapse comments, it would require scripting (php, ajax or javascript) and that is not allowed at this time at WordPress.com.

2. Can I get rid of the extra blank line between the commentor’s name and the comment itself.

The following will let you tighten up the space between the gravatar/username/date and the comment text.

}
```
See how that works for you and if you want to tighten things in other places, let us know.

Hi, the value is the original value. Adjust the 3.42857rem value to your liking.

That is top margin on .comments-area article so add this and adjust the value as desired.
```
.comments-area article {
    margin-top: 1.71429rem;
}
```

Yes! Getting there! getting there! Now …
1. Can I reduce the space at the end of the comment and before the reply (or edit if it’s the admin.)
2. Can I make the comment font itself a little smaller.

Thanks sooo much sacredpath for helping me on this. (BTW … I apologize for posting a new thread – I didn’t realize the conversation was going on here – where I started it!)
