“Buttons” block overlaps the buttons with each other
-

When I insert the “Buttons” block onto my website and publish, the buttons overlap. How do I prevent this, so there is spacing between the two buttons instead of having them overlap in such an ugly manner?
(See two images below for what it looks like in both the editor and in the published site. I am not adding any extra code or styling, this is just vanilla. The Forums do not allow me to caption my images.)

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you are having these styling issues, I’ve tested the buttons block with the theme you are using (Independent Publisher 2) and can confirm I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m, not having the same issue with the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. If you have the ability to edit CSS with your WordPress plan: https://wordpress.com/support/editing-css/. You can add the following styling to fix the issue:
.wp-block-button .wp-block-button__link {box-sizing: border-box;}If not its an issue with the theme, so changing theme would fix it. But I’m tagging this for staff as I’d like to know how best to contact the theme creator with the possible solution.
If staff can let me know how that would be possible, that would be great :)

Hi, all! I apologize for the late response. I thought I followed up here but apparently I hadn’t, that’s my bad.
@404bill thanks for taking a look into the issue and for the CSS snippet. I tried applying the classes & rules you provided to the button divs (and to the interior a elements) but unfortunately it simply made the buttons blow up huge but didn’t fix the spacing issue.

@nigeljoy any luck receiving a response from the developers of Independent Publisher 2?
