Buttons linked to scheduled pages

  I can’t get a button linked to a scheduled page to work. Users het the oops message or 404, depending on browser

  Hi, when you say the page is scheduled, do you mean not published yet? If so that will indeed result in a “not found” until the page is live, so I would recommend publishing it.

  If that isn’t the issue, could you send a link to the affected site / page?

  I’ll not post a page due to privacy,

  I’ll explain further.

  I have a home page and several other pages. Say Page 2.

  I created page 2 with a scheduled time tomorrow at 9 am

  I create a button on my home page.

  I add the link for Page two from the url at the top of the page into the button.

  It doesn’t schedule. What am I doing wrong?

  Hi Michael,

  It sounds like you’re pasting to the button the internal link to edit your posts – only an admin or an editor would be able to access such link.

  The correct link can be found in the Post Settings under Permalink:

  

  Bear in mind though that, as @supernovia mentioned, until the post is published the link will show the not found error.
