Buying a domain

    Hi,
    I would like to purchase a domain for my site without buying the full plan? With google a domain costs only $12 USD, yet with your site I’d need to pay €48 which is a massive difference. In addition, the “domain” will cost extra each year but I can’t seem to find how much extra I will be charged?

    Please let me know if there’s any way to only buy a domain? I’d love to stay with your site if possible but as a student price is a concern.

    Hi @samfordkt, you can buy a domain only via wordpress.com/domains. You would also need hosting.

    The $48 plan includes managed WordPress hosting, maintenance, and direct support. Or you can run your own installation with another provider. It includes your first year of a domain registration as well.
