Buying a domain

  Hi, I currently have jesstabac.wordpress.com with a free account. I want to buy a subscription- the $8 per month version. However, when I go to buy the subscription it’s associated with the jesstabac.wordpress.com domain. I want my domain to be jesstabac.com, and understand a domain is free for a year with a subscription. Do I buy jesstabac.com, buy the $8 monthly subscription and then I get refunded for buying the jesstabac.com domain in the first place?

  Start with purchasing a plan for the site you want to add the domain to at https://wordpress.com/plans and along the way, you’ll be able to register the domain for that site as included in the plan for free.

  Great, thanks. That worked. I needed to log out of wordpress.com first and then go to your link.
