buying a domain

  hello, I have a blog site, http://www.dreamferienhaus.wordpress.com and I would like to buy a domain. What stops me is that WP will close my blog and go with the new domain name.

  Is it possible I buy a domain and transfer this blog to it but the blog remains accesssible for 1 year? Thank you and kind regards, Inna

  WordPress.com doesn’t stop your blog, your custom domain gets connected to your blog but your wordpress.com subdomain stays.

  Hi Inna, yes, you can buy a domain and transfer your blog to it while keeping it accessible for a year. Your WordPress.com subdomain will remain active. Hope this helps.
