Buying a Domain and getting the same traffic

  Ok, this may be a strange question but hear me out.

  I want to buy a domain via here, but will the same traffic I get now still be the same? I guess what I am asking is, will my blog still show up in google and such as before?

  There should be no difference in traffic. Buying a domain does not make your blog disappear from Google. Google has indexed your “old” URL (username.wordpress.com) and since the old URLs still works, there’s no reason for Google to drop those from its index. Eventually, as Google re-crawls your blog, the old URLs will be replaced by the “new” URLS (with your domain name).
