Buying a domain from WordPress

    If I take out a year’s plan and buy a domain of you. With. com or. Co. Uk.
    In years to come do I own it and can It somewhere else., or does wordpress own it?

    Hi Warren,

    You own the domain for as long as you continue renewing it (technically owning a domain is more like a lease, if you want to get technical :) )

    So you can point it to another hosting provider if you want, you can transfer it away from us completely, or you can even gift or sell the domain to someone else if you want to – as long as you continue paying for the annual renewal you can do anything with it as long as it doesn’t break the law or violate our domain registration agreement.
