Buying a domain name

    I would like to buy a domain that is already registered on wordpress. How do I do that?

    Are you speaking of a custom domain, or a free example.wordpress.com URL?

    We can only sell you custom domains that are not currently registered. If a domain is registered, it means it already belongs to someone, and we can’t sell it to you.

    Free WordPress.com addresses are not for sale. If you want a particular address, but that address already belongs to someone else, we can’t help you. You can try contacting the current owner of the address and ask them if they’re willing to transfer or sell that address to you, but we will have no involvement with that type of transaction.

    We cannot provide you with the contact information of the current owner of a domain/free address under any circumstances.
