  can I cancel a privacy option at a later date or will I be contracted to pay the additional $8 per year each & every year that I own the domain ?

  Hi there,

  No, you can cancel the privacy at any time, though you won’t be eligible for a refund for it after the first 48 hours. You also might have to contact support to remove it for you you. You can always choose to get rid of it at any time, however!
