Buying a domain that is in Redemption Period

  I forgot to renew my domain and I wanted to buy it in redemption period. What do I need to do?

  If the domain was purchased through WordPress.com, there will be an additional $80 fee imposed by the registrar if the domain is able to be recovered. If you wish to proceed, post the name of the domain and add “modlook” to the tags of this forum thread. After that, a staff member will be around to assist.

  Yes, the domain was purchased through wordpress.com-

  Hi there,

  I’ve just emailed you a link you can use to pay for the domain’s recovery. Let me know if you didn’t receive it.

  Otherwise, as soon as we receive payment I’ll be notified and I can contact our registrar to try and get the domain back for you.
