Buying a premium theme

    I am currently using a free template and was wondering if I buy a Premium theme can I insert keywords into the html text for SEO purposes or can I only make minor changes to the font, colour etc.

    You can make major changes :) but only to the appearance with CSS and not to the HTML source code. I think you are referring to the HTML keywords meta tag for SEO, and that tag is sorely outdated anyway. WordPress.com is very search friendly and you don’t need the keywords meta tag.
