Buying a premium theme

  I want to purchase a wordpress.com theme to use on my wordpress blog not hosted by wordpress.com. Is this possible? Or do wordpress.com themes only work on wordpress.com blogs?

  We offer over 280 themes, both premium and free, which you can browse here:

  You cannot, however, upload your own theme to a WordPress.com site. To do that, you will need your own hosting and the software available at WordPress.org. For more on the differences, see http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
