Buying an existing domain

  Hi, i am looking for a contact person who can i talk to about buying an existing domain that is under registrar Auttomatic Inc. I have tried a numerous addresses but i have got zero answers.

  I work for a big IT company in Europe, and we struggle to get any information, which is quite frustrating.

  I hope we can get some feedback.

  WordPress.com or Automattic never will and legally can’t give you any information of the owner of a site or a domain.

  Thanks for prompt answer. I just need someone who can tell me whether we can buy certain domain or not, nothing more than that.

  Thanks for getting in touch. Domains are owned by individuals. The first step would be to know which domain you’re interested in.
  
  If the domain is already registered to another owner then there’s nothing we can do to help you gain ownership. You can watch for the domain to expire and try to pick it up at auction, or contact the owner directly through their site.

  So, i can contact the owner only when domain expires or can i somehow reach them, to negotiate about possible buyout? Also, is there any person or email i can turn to so we could discuss all the bits and pieces that i am concerned with?

  As already said wordpress.com can’t intervene in this matter nor can we give you information about the owner. it’s solely up to you to contact the owner.

  Yes, as mentioned by staff-zinnia you would need to reach out to the domain owner via their site. Sales of domains from one individual to another aren’t generally something that we handle, but we can try to answer your questions; would you be able to let us know what domain your company is interested in?

  Hi, as staff-zinnia mentioned, if you did want to reach out to the domain owner earlier than expiration, you would generally need to do so via the contact methods they may provide on their site.

  We don’t generally manage sales of domains from one individual to another (or to a corporate entity); but we’re happy to try to answer your questions. Would you be able to let us know what domain it is your company is interested in?
