buying domain and mapping

  I’m pretty new to wordpress and blogging and i have a question.What happens if i buy domain and mapping
  from wordpress for 18 $.for example if i have a “abc.wordpress.com” site and i buy domain and mapping for
  “abc.com” will my post from the older blog be transfered to the new url? Is that it? Can i continue blogging there
  on the new adress or do i need to buy hosting from another site? Thanks for the help :)

  You will still blog on abc.wordpress.com but your visitors will see abc.com

  The site linked to my name is domain mapped to a blog here at WordPress.COM
