Buying domain from another site

  The answers in similiar questions didnt exactly give me the answer I was hoping for, so:

  I run a free blog at WordPress.com. Now I have decided to buy my own domain from HostGator, and their customer service said I will only need to point my new domain to WordPress servers, so I will need the WordPress nameservers to be able to change my domain’s nameservers at HostGator.

  So my question is: Where do I get the WordPress nameservers? And do I have to pay something to WordPress to do this?

  The name servers are listed in the guide.
