buying domain name

  I am trying to purchase a domain name and I am getting the below error message
  ‘This transaction cannot be processed due to an unsupported currency.’ please help ASAP as I do not want the blog without the domain name

  Hi, as far as I know you have to pay with US Dollars only. So if you try to pay with CAD or Euros it might cause an error.

  I just bought a domain name (with the ending .org). However, when I go to my blog, the ending is wordpress.com. Why is this happening?

  I would have happily paid US$ however the WordPress “checkout” had everything in CAD. There was no option to change it.

  If you already own a domain name, which you purchased not at WordPress.com, then you need to “map” your existing domain to your WordPress.com blog. Here’s how to do that:

  Thanks romanbon I actually went to a domain hosting platform and purchased through them rather than WordPress because I was so frustrated! Also wish WordPress had some kind of help or contact info these forums are great but can take time to get answers.
