buying hosting without creating a website

  I have a WordPress blog on another hosting service. I want to purchase WordPress hosting and transfer my site there. But when I try to purchase a hosting plan I am taken to a screen to build a new site. I don’t want to build a new site!

  You can have a site hosted here at WordPress.com that uses a modified version of WordPress software or you can have a site hosted elsewhere created with the WordPress software (which you say you have already). You need to decide where you want to be.

  To be able to transfer your existing site here, you’ll need to create a new site. It’s on that new site that you’ll transfer your content.
