Buying my own top level domain from WordPress

  If i buy a top level domain from WordPress, can my WordPress blog automatically have this new URL address?

  Hi there,

  To have that domain appear as your site’s URL in a browser, you also need to upgrade to one of our paid plans.

  If you just buy the domain without a plan, the domain will take people to your site, but they’ll see the free WordPress.com address in their browser.
