Buying Only a Domain and not hosting

    Please I only want to buy a domain with WordPress, and host with another hosting company, while I keep building my website with WordPress, but I can’t seem to see any plan that allows this request, can somebody show me how to go about it?

    Hi there,

    You can buy a domain only by going to Upgrades ->Domains and clicking the Add New button there. You should be able to buy just the domain, without buying a plan. If a plan is already added to your cart, you can just remove that.

    However, if you plan to host your site somewhere else, it might be simpler to just buy the domain directly at the provider where you plan to host it. That way you need to keep track of paying only one company for your site, rather than paying us for your domain and someone else for hosting.

    But that’s completely up to you :)
