Buying the subscription and re-use the old domain

    Hi,

    I want to buy the subscription for one year, and as advertised, I will have one year free of the domain. But I already have a domain and want to keep using it. So if I buy the subscription, the free 1-year domain offer will remain for the domain that I own, or is it just for a new domain?

    Hi there!

    If you own the domain elsewhere, you can use that free first-year credit (on yearly plans) to transfer the domain here to WordPress.com. When you transfer the domain here, it will renew it for another year.

    For example, if your domain expires in November 2023, transferring it here will add another year of registration and will then expire in November 2024.
