Byline has disappeared on my blog posts

The byline on all of my blog posts has suddenly vanished. And I’m unable to add an author to my posts on the back end. Did something change recently? It only says the date my posts were published, not my name next to that. I appreciate your help with this.

The Twenty Ten theme was recently updated to add multi-author support. I’ll find out if the effect to the byline was intentional or not and report back.

Thank you. I just saw that the status had changed to resolved from not resolved. I wanted to make sure you know it’s definitely not resolved yet.

Yes, that was intentional. The author info will only be displayed on blogs with more than one author.

Because most single author bloggers did not want their name constantly repeated on every post. They preferred just to have a small “about me” section.
