CA anti virus finding a “virus” in the the newer WP versions

While doing my upgrade today my CA virus protection found and deleted a so called virus from my blog v.2.3.1 and when I unzipped v.2.3.2. It is showing that js/snz.a is a virus. There is not much information out about this but it appears that this is a false reading that started this morning. You will get this when you visit many sites starting this morning (like tv.com). CA must have sent out updates last night and I believe it is only the CA anti virus software that is doing it. I run etrust by CA.

Has anyone else seen this and can confirm this is no threat?

Sorry I posted this in the wrong place but will leave it up for a FYI.

i think you have a self-hosted blog, in which case you have to go to http://wordpress.org/support to place your query. this is the forum for bloggers hosted by wp.com. please correct me if i’m mistaken.

WP 2.3.2 has been downloaded many thousands of times. No other reports exist and the likelihood of the WP download containing such a virus is zero. It’s a false positive by the software.

Closing this to save worrying people.

    Update:
    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/12/31/ca_dodgy_update/
“A mis-firing anti-virus update from CA issued on Monday wrongly identified legitimate JavaScript files as a virus.”
