ca domain transfer

  Hello,

  I was planning to upgrade my WordPress account and to transfer in a .ca domain.

  It’s clear that I can’t do that transfer at this time.

  My question is: do you anticipate that I will be able to do so in the future and do you have a timeline for that? I would much prefer to have one billing than two.

  Hi there,

  We don’t have any timeline at the moment of when incoming transfers for .ca domains will be supported. The registry that controls .ca domains have unique transfer requirements for the domains they manage, which are significantly different from the standard process used for most domain extensions, so it would essentially require us to build a completely separate system only for .ca domains, and our domains team currently has other projects they’re working on with higher priority.

  That said, I fully understand it would be more convenient for you to have your domain and hosting in the same place, and I’ll pass your feedback along to the team.

  Thanks much for the reply.

  It helps me prioritize what I need to do now – and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that future date when all can be done in one place.
