Ca I disable auto embedding videos on comments?

  Is there a way to disable the auto embedding videos on comments?

  Some of my readers are posting dozens of comments with links to youtube. The auto-embedding sustem displays the videos, making the comments page very long and, sometimes, showing inappropriate or of topic video footage.

  I added “youtube.com and youtu.be to the balk list, but that made no changes. The videos still embedd as usual. It is not feasable to check all the videos and manually edit or delete those that are offensive or unrelated.

  What I want to know is if there is a way to disable the default auto-embedd on comments section, in a way that only the link to the source will be shown on my blog.

  If there is no way to disable embedding, this might be a serious security flaw.

  No, I am afraid not. You can, however, paginate the comments so that only a few load at a time. That should help.

  Most people have the opposite problem: how to get anyone to comment at all!
