Caching to browser

  I’m using Chrome build 40.0.2214.89 on an Android Tab S tablet. I was running several apps on a wifi connection using close to all of my available RAM (2.7 GB) and it seems as though this somehow prevented autosave to function. Instead my post was being cached to the browser and when the browser crashed it defaulted to the last saved copy which was 2 days prior. Is there anyway to prevent this happening in the future? Thanks
