  Till a few days ago my blog had a CALENDAR and SEARCH. I would like to know why suddenly both of them disappeared. And how can I restore them. Thank you for helping. My email is a [Removed ~ carocat]

  First off NEVER put your email address in a public forum. Spammers scan forums all the time looking for email addresses to send their offers for discount pharmaceuticals and such.

  WordPress has been updating the widgets so this can happen. Simply go to appearance > widgets and drag them back into your sidebar.

  That is not working for me…the calendar still won’t show on the page.

  This isn’t a normal calendar. It is a way for people to get a listing of which posts that you made on a certain day by clicking on a highlighted day number. If you made 5 posts on the 2nd, and click on 2 then you get a listing of those five posts. If you made one post on the 6th, then clicking on 6 will show a listing with the post that you made on that day. If you made no posts on a particular day, then the number representing that day will NOT be a link.
