Calendar Widget
-
Hi
The ‘Calendar’ widget seems to have disappeared off my blog. The only thing left is the heading? Is there a problem with the widget at the minute?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hm… End of the world?
Try disabling and enabling it again? Dunno…
You can also take this directly to the staff: http://support.wordpress.com/contact/– Lora

I’m actually having the same problem with the calendar on my blog. Same scenario, it appeared earlier in the day and now it doesn’t. I’ve tried removing it from the sidebar and adding it back and changing its position in the line-up but to no avail.

I see it just fine. I wonder from the number of reports we’re getting about this, if there might be a WP-wide issue, in which case contacting staff is the best way to get it dealt with.

Thanks, Raincoaster. How odd that some see it and others don’t. If it persists, I’ll write to support.
Thanks again.

I know this is not quite the answer you’re looking for, but Event Calendar 3 rocks. Strongly urge you check it out.

Uh, no. That doesnt’ have anything to do with the WordPress.com calendar widget, which is designed to highlight days you’ve posted on your blog.
-
I’ve been looking & looking so apologize for asking but……the dates on my calendar do not work. Only the one from the day I set up the blog but no subsequent posts. What am I doing wrong?

The calendar days will link to days on which you have published a post. You only have one post published on 6/2, and the 2nd on the calendar takes you to that post.
-
Does it only then apply to the main page? I have posted several over the last five days on other pages. It won’t pick them up? What if they’re in a category?
-
It only applies to posts, not to pages. Pages sit outside the blog structure and are static. This support document explains the differences between pages and posts and may help clarify things: http://support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ .
