Calling Widgets Using PHP

  I’m playing with a theme and I’ve stripped out the widget areas. I have some plugins I’d like to use that are supposed to be integrated into the theme as widgets, by dragging and dropping them into the sidebar. Since I’m not using widgets, is there a way to use these plugins by calling them with a line of PHP code or something? Any help would be much appreciated… If it’s any help, this is the plugin I’d like to use: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/

  Afraid we can’t help you here if you’re tinkering with PHP and plugins; we don’t have access to the PHP here, nor can we use plugins. I’d expect you’re in the wrong forum and need to be at WordPress.org; the site linked to your name is not a WP.com blog.
