Callisto Theme: Locking menu navigation and changing opacity

  Not sure if this belongs in CSS query or not, but I’m a relative novice to the theme—still learning the ins and outs.

  I want to lock the semi-transparent menu nav bar up top of the site and to adjust the opacity to solid black.

  In addition, the slider/gallery is covered by the bar. Is there a way to also bump that down to meet the bottom of the menu bar?

  These forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com, but you’re running the WordPress software on your own hosting.
